I've been supplementing with some variant of protein for about 22 years. The older I get the more I realize how all the typical whey proteins contain absolute junk. Even the ones that are marketed as organic or whole food contain significant amounts of fillers and sweeteners that have an impact on your body. True Nutrition's Grass Fed Beef Protein is the only protein supplement I take now. No fillers, no extra ingredients, and it mixes well if you use a blender. It doesn't mix well in a shaker, so plan ahead if you need to, and use a blender. Excellent product, excellent company, and I'm extremely satisfied with this stuff. Highly recommend.

    Poison

If anything states on it, California prop 65 warning. This means that it’s not a natural product and that it is very harmful, especially if it can cause birth defects or other reproductive harm! How can you have something touted as being nutritious and then have that in the disclaimer. You’re no better than the pharmaceutical companies.

    Hi Elaine,

While I realize the warning can come off as quite a shock, know that most things contain trace amounts of heavy metals. The produce we purchase at the grocery store, plants, soil— you name it. We third-party test all of our protein materials for heavy metals; those reports are available should you wish to review them. You'd request the materials you are interested in viewing reports on, and we'd be happy to pass them along for further insight. I will say that plant-based protein materials will always test higher in heavy metals than dairy-derived or animal-derived proteins; the animal can detox some of the heavy metals before becoming a functional protein powder. Prop 65 was a law passed by the state of California, requiring any company, brand, etc., to place a disclaimer if any heavy metals are present in the product being sold. We have always included this label on any packages mailed within the state of California and have recently needed to expand this to all orders shipped within Amazon. Eventually, we just started placing that disclaimer on all products. It's our way of complying and being transparent, whereas many other companies and manufacturers seem to slide by without needing to place this warning on their packages. I have provided some resources on heavy metals and Prop 65 below.

Please feel free to reach out to our team at any time. We are here to help!😊

    Hot cocoa

I used a milk frother attachment on my immersion blender and it mixed well. Heat your milk first and then blend.

MCT added for a bulletproof hot cocoa and it tastes great!

    Won’t dissolve

I bought this in the French vanilla flavor and mixed it with some almond milk. It tastes ok, but it’s so difficult to mix. I thought the other reviews were exaggerating about not being able to dissolve but THEY WEREN’T JOKING. There are so many floating clumps so I feel like I’m not even getting the whole 29g of protein. I used a shaker bottle, a fork, and an electric frother but it still won’t dissolve. Maybe a different flavor would dissolve better? Idk but I would give it 5 stars if it would dissolve.

Hi Grace! I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with the Grass Fed Beef Protein Isolate. This protein is hydrophobic in nature, which means it tends to clump a bit when mixed with a liquid. Over the years, we've had customers write in with suggestions that have helped them mix this protein.

1.) Use a scoop of protein, add a tablespoon or so of warm water to kick start dissolving process, then add liquid of choice.
2.) Using a wooden chopstick or a spoon to stir the protein.
3.) Shaking in a blender bottle for 30 seconds, letting it sit for 30 seconds, then shaking again for 30 seconds.

We hope these suggestions help you out a bit with your protein!

It would be great if you could dissolve it.
