Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (60g) True Flavor Chocolate Fudge Brownie Grass Fed Protein
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 4 tbsp calorie-free sweetener (use one twice as sweet as sugar, if possible)
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp salt (optional)
- 1/2 cup (4 large) egg whites
- 5 tbsp no-sugar-added nut butter (plus 1 tbsp for drizzling after cooling)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the whey protein concentrate, almond flour, sweetener, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine wet ingredients: Add egg whites, 5 tablespoons of peanut butter, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until smooth and thick.
- Prepare baking dish: Lightly spray a 7″x5″ baking dish with cooking spray. Spread the batter evenly into the dish using a spatula.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes. Check to ensure the center is set but still gooey (the brownies will firm up as they cool). Avoid overbaking for the best texture.
- Cool and drizzle: Allow the brownies to cool completely. Melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of nut butter in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. Drizzle over the cooled brownies for a finishing touch.
- Slice and serve: Slice into 8 pieces and enjoy.
- Store leftovers: Keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
