Picture this: It’s summer. You want sweets. You want protein. So why not have both? No worries, we have the solution - Protein Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Here's how you make them:


Ingredients:

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 large egg (or flax egg: 1 tbsp flaxseed meal + 3 tbsp water)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose, almond, or oat flour
  • ½ cup Whey Protein Isolate (Pea Protein works too)
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½–1 cup chocolate chips (we love HU choco chips or your choice)

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla, mix well.
  • Stir in the flour, protein powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop dough into balls, place on baking sheet, and flatten slightly.
  • Bake 8–10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a rack.
