At True Nutrition, we have always prided ourselves on doing things differently. We have set the standard and have raised the bar for protein and supplement companies by developing superior products, living our brand ethos and never compromising our mission. We’ve stood fast in a sea of flashy marketing gimmicks and questionable ethics created by many of our competitors, because we believe that our customers and our community deserve the very best.
One of the most gratifying parts of working in the bodybuilding, fitness and health world is that we get to interact with our engaged and informed customers, and often hear their stories of personal triumph. There is no doubt that dedicating your life to your own personal well-being can have tremendous impact on you and everyone around you.
With that in mind, we have created a new video series around the stories that inspire us. We proudly stand with the True Nutrition athletes who stare adversity in the face and push through it to reach their goals. While we are inspired by the big, the bold and the beautiful, we are equally inspired by those that live life to the fullest, face their fears and overcome obstacles to succeed in their lives, both inside and outside of the gym.
At True Nutrition, we stand with the True you – the get up before dawn, crushing goals, always on the grind you.
We are proud to present TRUE Stories – Episode One: The Coello Brothers.

“My name is Johnathon Coello. I grew up in a rough area. A lot of drugs, gangs, violence. There was nothing else to keep me occupied besides working out. I go to school full-time, and I work full time, so some of the struggles I face daily would probably time management. I work 40-50 hours a week, sometimes 60, and 15 hours of school. I still always find a way to work out. Getting into college, is probably one of my proudest moments because I will be first generation college student. That’s something that keeps me going. Carlos, he was born with cerebral palsy. The doctors took too long to remove him, which therefore cut oxygen to his brain. It caused him to have some parts of his brain not function properly. But he’s still all there, and still happy, still smiling, and strong. Our relationship has always been wonderful. Its always been a best friend relationship. He’s someone I can talk to even though he really, ya know, he can’t really verbally talk, we have our ways to communicate. We’re there for each other. Usually Sundays is our day we hang out. We’ll go work out, eat afterwords, talk. It keeps him going, it keeps me going, and he loves it and I love it. Just because he can’t walk or talk doesn’t mean he’s different. He works out, he likes women, he even has a tinder account. He’s just normal. A couple people inspire me. I would say my number one inspiration would probably be Carlos just because I know he looks up to me, and he’s proud of me. It just gives me joy making him happy. Well my dream job is to actually own my own business. I’ve thought about opening up a gym. Hanging out with my brother, and getting paid, that’d be nice. If there’s a will there’s a way, so there’s no excuse. If you want something bad enough, you’ll go and do what ever it takes.”
